Bike to Bath

Join the Bristol & Bath Railway Path and cycle towards Bath. It's roughly 14 miles / 23km, almost entirely traffic-free and mostly flat, so it's more of a fun ride than a serious cycling mission.

Midway pit stop

Stop somewhere around Bitton for coffee, cake and a breather. Optional rule: whoever complains about their legs first buys.

Arrive in Bath

Lock the bikes up and properly enjoy having earned lunch.

Lunch + wander

Get some food, then wander through central Bath, Pulteney Bridge, the Abbey, Georgian streets and Royal Crescent all work nicely without needing much of a plan.

Coffee / pint

Find somewhere cosy and stay for a drink. If you've still got energy, explore a little more; if not, you've already had a pretty great day.

Back to Bristol

Option A: Cycle back to Bristol for the full 28-mile brag rights.

Option B: Decide you've done enough exercise, get the train home and feel absolutely zero shame about it.
